I almost wanted to call this “Apology Smoothie”.
With all of the wine, salt and caffeine my body has been taking in on these hot days, it has been begging me for some serious hydration.
This smoothie is rich in antioxidants and super hydrating, perfect after a night of two many drinks on a patio or sweaty summer run outdoors.
Hydrating Summer Smoothie
- 2 cups coconut water (or 1 cup coconut water, 1 cup water)
- 1 cup frozen berries
- 1/2 frozen banana
- handful of spinach
- 1/2 tsp spirulina
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 1 scoop protein powder (vanilla or berry)
