I absolutely love Halloween.
The costumes, the movies, and most importantly…the treats.
When I was a kid my mom told me that I’d come home, consume half of my candy, run around the house like a crazy person and then go to bed. Not much has changed.
One thing that has changed is that I have less of a taste for pre-packaged goodies and a huge hunger for delicious homemade versions. No scary GMOs or funky ingredients for me please! When it comes to food, I prefer treats over tricks. Here are some recipes that have been catching my eye…
Healthful Pursuit No Bake Vegan Twix Bars
Fork and Beans Raw Fudgy Brownies
Fork and Beans Raw Snickers Bars
Raw chocolates from the Alkaline Sisters
Reeses Pumpkin Peanut Butter Cups from Chocolate Covered Katie
Chocolate Chia Seeds Protein Cookies from Purely Twins
Now I have a great Halloween costume idea..
To dress as a healthy living blogger: carry around a can of pumpkin, have a green smoothie moustache, wear Lululemon, have some kale and chia stuck in your teeth, and a big jar of nut butter in your pocket
Wait, that’s a little too close to how I look most days.
As much as I love dressing up you’ll most likely find me in my pyjamas attempting all of these recipes while watching Hocus Pocus on repeat.
Happy Halloween weekend! Any fun plans?
