Christmas Treats

by Gillian on December 4, 2012

It’s almost time to make some naughty and nice Christmas treats!

Last years my friend Marisa and I spent a day making snowman cookies, healthy truffles, and my sweet and salty bacon bark.  All were a hit and I loved delivering little sweet parcels to loved ones and friends.

This year I’d love to drop off some boxes wrapped up with string to friends in our village in France.

I want to cover everyone – my sweet French neighbour, our lifelong friends Susan and David, Helena the German vegan yoga teacher, Georges the bartender who you have to work hard to sneak a smile from…and more.

Here are some of the sweet little treats that have been catching my eye, what do you think?

Orange Spiced Meltaways from Newly Raw

Brazil Nut Fudge from a Dash of Compassion

Raw Chocolate Holiday Fudge with Coconut, Gogi and Ginger from the Alkaline Sisters

Coconut Cranberry Bars from Beard and Bonnet

Raw Double Layer Chocolate Fudge with Cacao Nibs by Gourmande in the Kitchen

Pecan Date Truffles from Detoxinista

I’m also thinking some of the classics, shortbread, ginger cookies…what do you think?

Any great recipes to share?

I see a chocolate theme happening here! They all look so delicious (and I can definitely vouch for the fudge).

I can vouch for the brazil nut fudge as well…it’s amazing! (I do have a slight bias as everything made by Nicole is delicious)

Thanks for including my truffles! I’m also a HUGE cookie fan at this time of the year. I’ll be making a big batch of my grain-free shortbread and ginger cookies soon!

If you gave me any of those treats, I would be in love. But I’m also a fan of the shortbread classic!
