Clean Program

by Gillian on January 10, 2013

I have been on an anti-cleanse lately.

I kicked off 2013 with a mission to enjoy my life, get out more, and to treat myself to all the wine and delicious food I could dream of.  It has been fantastic.

That being said, I’m working on clearing my emotional and mental clutter and want to pair it with a cleanse that will help reset my body as well.

I recently read Clean: The Revolutionary Program To Restore the Body’s Natural Ability to Heal Itself by Dr.Alejandro Junger M.D and was fascinated on how his program has changed peoples lives, ridding them of major health problems and helping to cure disease and depression.

The main idea behind the cleanse is to have a fresh juice or smoothie for breakfast and dinner using fresh fruits and vegetables, and a balanced lunch using vegetables and a protein.  I’m going to follow it as closely as possible, although I love going out for dinner so I may adjust the cleanse a little for my social life.  I’ll keep you posted on how I’m doing.

The Clean Cleanse kit for the program online is $425 and includes a plant based protein powder, fibre powder, probiotic, digestive enzyme, liver support and herbal anti-microbial.  This doesn’t exactly fit my current budget.  Luckily, I recently helped put together The Digestive Divas kit which basically provides you with all of this!  We are offering fibre powder, probiotic, digestive enzyme, and liver support through Hepa plus for $138.  You just need to add on a plant based protein powder like Sun Warrior and a herbal anti-microbial like oil of oregano.

This is what I’ll be personally using through my clean program, and if you’re interested in joining I can supply you with whatever you need!

I will be starting the program on Monday, January 14th until February 3rd and starting the elimination phase today. I will be blogging about my experience and all the highs and lows that come with it!

well i’m on the anti-exercise bandwagon now haha. i pulled my hamstring 3 wks ago doing a split at barre and have to rest for 6-8wks :) i’m totally ok with that since i don’t like working out 5-6x a week and that’s what i had to do to complete that challenge. it was a small goal i set for myself for one month and i’m glad i did it but definitely happy to be back to my much more relaxed routine! i will try next week to do some gentle yoga or a winter walk maybe 2x during the week but no more!

our health is so precious and i’d hate to have it be in jeopardy where i couldn’t enjoy the start of 2013 even though it has got off to a rocky start! hope everything is going well for you G! it’s been quiet over there i hope it’s ok! x

I’ve been on that bandwagon too. Going to attempt some yoga soon but have been taking it very easy on myself and have just been focusing on having fun. Lots of love to you! x

I totally believe that real, fresh and healthy nutrients from fruits and vegetables are a natual detox for your body. If you cut out everything processed and treat your body well, it just does it’s own thing because that’s what it was built to do.
